After two long years in the making, we are now proud to announce that Frontend 2.0 is done!
We are feature complete - further development on Frontend 2.0 will only be minor bugfixing. In a short while, we will release a source package for non-registered users to download. Those of you who are already registered can simply update your SVN folders to get up to date at any time.
To celebrate the release of the first stable version of Frontend 2.0, we released the demo Quantum at The Gathering this easter. It is written entirely against Frontend 2.0 and works in both Windows (on Direct3D 9) and Linux (on OpenGL 2.0).

Stay tuned for more news on the Frontend project!

I got a Win7 system on a 64 bit CPU running Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition. Then I try to compile the “Hello World”
#include
using namespace Frontend;
int main(int argc, char* argv[])
{ IO::StdOut().WriteText(”Hello World!\n”);}
I get:
1>—— Build started: Project: helloworld, Configuration: Debug Win32 ——
1>Linking…
1>LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file ‘openfrontend2_mtd.lib’
1>Build log was saved at “file://c:\helloworld\helloworld\Debug\BuildLog.htm”
1>helloworld - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
========== Build: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped ==========
WHY? there is no help on google or in your FAQ !
I just have to say this was potentially one of the best blurbs I have go over on the subject so far. I do not understand where you get all of your information but I am impressed! I am gunna send a few individuals on over to read this. Fantastic, simply amazing. I’m just getting into crafting articles myself, nothing close to your writing skills (lol) but I would love for you to look over my articles sometime! here
